Specialisation: personal injury law, employment and discrimination law, and actions against the police and other state agencies

Career: Patrick joined Dowse & Co. as a trainee in 1999, qualifying in 2001. He previously worked for 10 years in the NHS. Wherever possible Patrick runs cases on legal aid but otherwise does most of his work on a no win-no fee basis. He is committed to representing individuals where they have legitimate claims or grievances against often powerful institutions and employers.

Patrick campaigns with colleagues to defend legal aid and access to justice for all. Compensation is often the main measure of justice achieved: Patrick aims to maximise damages for clients he represents.
