Career: Laura joined Dowse & Co as a trainee in 2006, qualifying in August 2008. She has a particular specialisation in housing law including possession proceedings, eviction, disrepair and homelessness. Laura has extensive experience in defending possession proceedings, particularly possession proceedings brought on the grounds of anti-social behaviour and rent arrears. She also has wide experience in dealing with homelessness cases and acting for tenants whose homes are affected by disrepair.

Laura graduated with an honours degree in History from Cambridge University and undertook the CPE and LPC at Middlesex and Westminster Universities in London. During her LPC year, Laura worked as a volunteer advisor for the Citizen’s Advice Bureau giving advice on housing, welfare benefits and consumer issues.

Laura volunteers as a legal advisor at Hackney Law Centre and participates in the Duty Solicitor Scheme at Clerkenwell and Shoreditch County Court. She is a member of the Housing Law Practitioners Group.
